MOS 8541, Designated Marksman

The Designated Marksman (DM) is a military role in a U.S. infantry squad. (The analogous role in the Israeli army is accurately descriptively named "squad sniper." Soviet doctrine uses the Dragunov rifle in this way.) The designated marksman's role is to supply rapid accurate fire on enemy targets at ranges up to 500 meters with a telescopic-sighted, very-accurate, semiautomatic rifle. Like snipers, DMs are trained in precision shooting, but are also capable of rapid accurate fire.

Critical Strike (Marksman)
Gives a chance to do more damage on an attack.
Level 1 - 15% chance to deal 200% damage
Level 2 - 20% chance to deal 250% damage
Level 3 - 25% chance to deal 300% damage
Level 4 - 30% chance to deal 350% damage
Level 5 - 35% chance to deal 400% damage
Level 6 - 40% chance to deal 450% damage
Level 7 - 40% chance to deal 500% damage

Monofilament Cartridge
Monofilaments are released, cutting through flesh, immobilising targets. Each level reduces cooldown and increases damage. Only affects ground units.
Level 1 - Lasts 1 second. 600 damage.
Level 2 - Lasts 2 seconds. 1000 damage.
Level 3 - Lasts 3 seconds. 1400 damage.
Level 4 - Lasts 4 seconds. 1800 damage.
Level 5 - Lasts 5 seconds. 2200 damage.

Optical Scope
The Optical Scope is used for long range observation and target acquisition. The Designated Marksman gains bonus damage while using scope; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced. At Level 3, detects invisible units and provides limited camouflage while in use. Lasts 6 seconds.
Level 1 - Adds 40 damage; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced by 50.
Level 2 - Adds 40 damage; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced by 45.
Level 3 - Detects invisible units. The Designated Marksman gains camouflage. Adds 40 damage; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced by 40.
Level 4 - Detects invisible units. The Designated Marksman gains camouflage. Adds 80 damage; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced by 35.
Level 5 - Detects invisible units. The Designated Marksman gains camouflage. Adds 80 damage; attack speed reduced by 15% and movement speed reduced by 30.

Muzzle Brake Suppressor
Reduces the amount of noise and flash generated by the Designated Marksman's rifle. The Designated Marksman's attacks do not draw as much attention.
Level 1 - 5% reduction in attack and movement speed.
Level 2 - No change in attack and movement speed.
Level 3 - 5% increase in attack and movement speed.
Level 4 - 10% increase in attack and movement speed.
Level 5 - 15% increase in attack and movement speed.
